BOS+ collaborates
BOS+ is convinced that an integrated approach with a solid eye for synergies with relevant domestic and international actors offers added value. BOS+ believes in building up and exchanging expertise, with both academic institutions at home and abroad. BOS+ is convinced of the value of well-coordinated multi-stakeholder interventions, which often generate positive multiplier effects. Therefore BOS+ is not afraid to work with state players within a clear framework.
Working with partner organisations is one of the main pillars of BOS+. The results “on the ground” rely heavily on the partner organisation’s approach. In the southern hemisphere BOS+ only collaborates with non-profit organisations. NGOs or Community Based Organisations, that strive for financial and institutional sustainability are elected. In Belgium we look for partnerships that provide significant added value to BOS+ with regard to the target group, monitoring or methodologies.
Partner organisations which BOS+ worked with in 2015 and 2016 in the South within development education are listed in the table below.

In addition BOS+ is involved in various 11.11.11. consultation forums and serves on the Board of Directors of the NGO Federation and Bond Beter Leefmilieu (Federation for a Better Environment), the umbrella organisation of the environmental movement in Flanders. In these forums BOS+ consequently works towards a constructive dialogue in its area, at the intersection of environment and development.
